Well, we had plenty of time today (very slow at the clinic) so I went back and counted what round this was. This is round 12. It was a bit confusing because late last year we were on a goofy schedule...every 4 doses was considered one round. So, round 12 it is.
As I said above, they were very backed up today at the doctor's office and at the chemo clinic. Kristi didn't start getting her chemo until 2:45. It was a day of "hurry up and wait"! But, once the chemo did start it went uneventfully.
When we met with Kristi's oncologist this morning, he said he expected the CA125 level to be close to normal (35). Well, it's 52. We were quite bummed. At least it went down.
From Isaiah 40, versus 28-31: "28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. 29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
After 13 months of this we're growing quite tired and weary. We need to be reminded often of His power and His will. We know that He is in control. We are so thankful to have Him looking over us. Please pray that today's news doesn't send us down a slippery slope and that we continue to trust in Him.
Thanks for the prayers.
