Saturday, April 28, 2007: The Plunge

Once again we are blown away with the generosity of this community. A group from Central Wesleyan Church came and "plunged" our house. There were about 5 - 6 couples...they just kept coming - we're not sure how many there were!! Along with them were about 8 kids or so. They came and spread 7 yards of wood chips. First, they removed our old wood chips, laid down a wire mesh (to keep the chipmunks and moles out - Brian's idea) and weed barrier. Then they spread the new wood chips. I can't believe how fast they got this done. Some of the ladies cleaned the outside of all the windows on the house, the kids pulled weeds, a couple guys scraped and restained our tiki hut on the deck, and they even washed, waxed, and vacuumed both of our vehicles. What a huge relief now that we don't have to spend time doing this. How can we ever thank these kind people??!! Just amazing how God works. Thank you God for these people.
