We need to make a correction to some of our previous posts. We were counting each dose of the new chemo a "round". However, after talking in more detail to the chemo nurse the other day, we learned that they consider 4 doses of this new chemo a cycle, or round. So, we are still in round 8 - dose 3. Kristi will get a week off then complete round 8 (dose 4) the week of September 24. She's taking a week off because her counts are low. Her platelet level is at 57,000. Because it was low, they gave her a reduced amount today. We're going to request that they check her CA125 level next week before we go to U of M.
Kristi is doing great today. Her Mom accompanied her at chemo so I was able to get a break - thanks Mom! So far she is doing very good!
Here are some specific prayer requests:
* Her platelet level starts going up
* This new chemo is killing the cancer cells
* Please keep praying that her CA125 level is below 35 next time they check!
